I think Jerry was massaging the story a bit (as he tended to do). I know he played in junior college. But he did learn to play there. His high school was too small to have a team.
Yeah, Jerry was known for a bit of embellishment, but he was funny and a great representative of Mississippi and MSU.
tell a story........He's got a couple of good stories about football......The one about the time he played at Clemson and the players number got smaller and smaller is great........
