The coaches told him it was a slim chance to make it. His stats last fall wasn't good as is his summer stats. He needs to go to a smaller college and play. He competed and he wasn't good enough.
But he was good at giving free haircuts to him teammates so......*******
Any healthy pitch-only player that wasn't good enough to play this past season probably needs to go.

It makes no difference either way, but I find it interesting that news of players leaving comes out so late. Seems like in the past, everything would be announced within a couple weeks of season's end, and we would know who was leaving. Even in the presser last month, Cohen wouldn't name names. Shirley he knew of at least a half dozen guys after the exit interviews.
Before long, we will learning of the rosters at opening day.
