We don't replace them every few years, though. This will only be the third since 2001.
He has been serving since 2009. 6 years of being a mascot, and he will be turning 10 later this year. He deserves a chance to be a regular dog. Jak is taking over at 6 months, and will likely serve for 6-8 years before his son will take over.Quote:

Even their longer-serving bulldogs only serve 8-9 years, which means that's how long they live. Ours may serve shorter terms generally, but they live much longer.
Jak seems to have a longer snout. I wonder if that's intentional given the breathing problems common to Bulldogs.

We should be happy that our vet school is first class. Bulldogs have paid for many a vet vacation, home remodel, etc. Mine has a daily pill regimen that rivals my 75 year old in-laws.
