If we have our guy I wouldn't wait that long. Heck, depending on who it is, he may need every minute he can get with Horatio and his son. I say by this Wednesday.
I hope it's within the next few days. Any longer than that and Strick didn't have his man committed - same mistake he made last time.
If it drags out more than a few days, it's less and less likely that it'll be a home run hire.
I'd love it to be within a few days, but I'm afraid we'd wait even if we had him. If he's a current HC, you don't want it to look like we tampered with him beforehand.
Announce it as soon as you can. If the guy is still coaching in this season, do it the day after his team's season ends.
Otherwise, announce tomorrow.
I would hope Stricklin learned something in the last 3 years, and already has someone set up to hire before firing Ray.Quote:

This. We aren't going to embarrass Ray, ourselves, or the new coach by making the announcement too quickly if we already have the guy in place. The people who need to know (re: Big Train & Malik) will be informed. But there's a certain level of professionalism that comes into play here.
