I'm not a baseball guy. I just know we've got young world beater middle relievers. Do these guys grow up to be starting pitchers that can go 7+ innings? What about Holder?
Curious.

Woodruff and Lindgren could be Beede and Ziomek.
We can choose SP's from:
Woodruff
Fitts
Cox
Lindgren
Norris
Signee Dakota Hudson
We should be fine on SP's...the. We still have
Holder
Bracewell
Gentry
Shelley
Mitchell
And some others
Dakota Hudson can be the difference-maker. If he's as good as I think he can be and Humphries/one of the other fr/one of the backups step up... it doesn't even feel right actually saying just how good I think we could be.
That's going to be a championship pitching staff. We have to find offense though, and fix the left side of the infield
Is there ANY shot at Frazier improving his stock with another season?
That is what I saw too. MSU fan tweeted him saying he did not want to face UVA in 2014. He responded that they were a strong candidate for preseason #1
I'm fairly certain we'll be able to hit next year. I'm just not sure if we'll be able to hit with any power. Might see a lot of bunting, hit and run, and running the bases. As for pitching, I like the potential of our starters and our pen. Right now our biggest loss (pitching) is girodo. Are we gonna have a lefty specialist who can end a rally with a strikeout?
What are the odds of Humphreys being the starting SS next year?
My best guess is the rotation starts out as Woody, Fitts, and Lindy. IF they're all healthy and pitch to their potential, that will be one hell of a rotation. I'm especially excited about Fitts. He throws strikes and throws hard. I honestly thought we pulled him too early in each of his last 2 starts. We could, and should, have gotten more from him. But it's hard to argue when Girodo came in and was lights out both times. Fitts is clearly our #2 starter right now, though.
I told you all before and I'll say it again: We will be a National Seed caliber team next year.
And we really don't need to look much further than Ross Mitchell to find a Friday night starter. Woodruff and Lindgren are going to have to steal it away from him.
There is nothing, NOTHING, stopping MSU baseball right now. Recruiting is lights out. One more upgrade to the stadium and the sky is the limit.
We have to find a SS before next year. We'll have to scratch and claw to score like we did in 2012, but the pitching is going to be championship level. The big question to me is who can play SS and play it well. I have no idea if Humphries can do it as a Freshman. I've heard we were grooming Britton to move there. I've heard we were going to slide Pirtle over there. But that is a huge question going into next year
