I guess Stricklin finally understands that MSU fans didn't care for the wide stripes on the uniforms that he apparently loves.
If anyone has any knowledge of this: Why is it so hard to take the same damn template, plug it into a computer and start printing uniforms? I refuse to believe it's as hard as they are making it seem. You would think Adidas was trying to crack fusion with their uniform process.
Seriously it's like they are building 85 Taj Mahals vs garments. We already have white pants, we just need some f'in jerseys. I refuse to believe it takes more than 1 day to create 1 individual jersey. Because they've had 1 day per jersey plus a few weeks to spare.
And yet I get ripped on for having the guts to point out the obvious truth: Adidas sucks. We aren't a priority to them, other than for baseball, and they treat us as such. You really think if aTm, Michigan, etc. wanted new jerseys during a season that Adidas would give them some bullshit about needing "lead time" to get it done? Hell no. And don't even get me started on the ASStros "throwback" unis (that we've literally never worn in our history) they forced on us for baseball. We NEED to either mend fences with Nike or go to Under Armour. Constantly getting the run-around from Adidas has worn thin.
Lets be clear that Adidas could if they wanted to. They don't want to bc those facilities are busy making other type uniforms for other sports. Just as sports are seasonal I'm sure manufacturers have their own 'season' for making football, baseball or hockey etc... It would cost Adidas money to interrupt that process. But it most certainly CAN be done, Adidas just doesn't want to simple as that.
I agree. We are the number 1 team in the country. If I'm Stricklin I tell them: "We need white jerseys of the maroon ones you've already produced. If you can't do this we will start to seek other vendors for future endeavors." I feel like Stricklin doesn't have a killer instinct with shit like this. So maybe Adidas would lose a few bucks with the extra work...but you gain a shitload of brand recognition when a Cinderella team is #1 in the nation with the leading Heisman candidate. Case closed. Blow me Adidas.
Apparently the players love them. What if it's setting up as a egg bowl surprise when they walk into the locker room? It would be some great motivation.
Can we wear the snow bowl white jerseys with maroon anniversary OR matte helmets? That would look sweet.
