Thru 4 on the Vols.
It's a combo of UCLA is really damn good and Tennessee, and this will shock some folks, regressed after their all world coach went the majors for a 3 year experiment.
Vols coming back. 5-4 after the starter leaves.,
Arky down 4-0 T9 to....UT Arlington
Arkansas sucks right now
Another UCLA tank, 9-4 Bruins. Gonna be tough to handle Sunday.
UT Arlington tried to give it away, lol.
11-5 now 😱, we're doomed!
If Tony Vitello is done in SF in 2027, two seasons and fired. Does he go back to college coaching?
If Ole Miss, Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas A&M and South Carolina have coach retirements and firings in 2027... who gets Vitello? Probably not South Carolina that is spending all their money on Women's Basketball.
God damn it I love Richard Adkerson. What a day in texas
And down go the confederates, 6-5 in 10 to Baylor.
If he is successful with the Giants do not be surprised if the St Louis Cardinals go after him.
I would say the odds are he will end up at Arkansas though. Bianco will retire sooner than later and he has a veteran team which is the kind of team that you build to "go out on top" with. Mingione is safe at Kentucky. I don't see him being in any danger and I also don't see anyone really wanting him either. Van Horn is in the same situation as Bianco- he'll retire when he wants to. A&M is off to a great start this year. So Earley is safe- for now. Manieri is in trouble. I'm shocked they even brought him back. I'll be surprised if he is back next year. They'll probably go after a mid major coach. You can add Tim Corbin in the retire soon crowd too. Kevin O'Sullivan- who knows what will happen there? He's just very volatile. Honestly, Florida might be a really good place for Chris Lemonis to go. He can recruit and he's laid back and would win enough to meet expectations there. Stricklin loves to hire former MSU people there too. I can't see Lemonis going to South Carolina. His profile is too similar to Manieri. Mizzou might decide to get serious at some point too. If they put some effort into it I could see them landing Silva at Arkansas State who I think would be an awesome hire there or if I were them I'd kick the tires on Lane Burroughs and see if he bites. Christian Ostrander I think is going to become a name to watch as well potentially- but of course it would have to be the right job. He's a Mississippi guy but South Carolina has a lot of resources and if they pay him enough I think that would be hard to turn down.
TN will have some empty seats soon in that stadium.
To me, Vitello, after a few years in the majors, I wonder if he loses that effort and energy in recruiting at the college level if he were to return. It is NIL, yes, so he would need to land at Arkansas or somewhere really putting money out on rosters.
