Arnett lands 4 star CB from Fl

We need our defense to step up, and it appears that side of things is really looking up.

I know we are harping on OL play but just imagine if we had a top 40 defense that could have gotten a few more stops when it counted. Tennessee and Texas do not go into overtime and the Florida game doesn?t come down to a last minute field goal. Arnett as a DC could be HUGE for us next season.

Realistically though we were 107th in defense this past year. 40th would be a massive jump. If you look at Arnett's first year in 2020 we finished in the 50's. That's probably more realistic or the 60's.

But even that would get us another win or two.

True but the big dropoff happened last half of year for various reasons. Our D was competitive first half of year. Injuries were part of it.

I really think it depends on the haul from the Portal. Our back end is already way better. We have viable depth.
