They've mailed it in. Embarassing. Absolutely embarassing.
It feels like we haven't gotten better at all each year. Maybe 23 -> 24 but this is pathetic.
And I don't give a damn about NIL. You're getting beaten by teams with way less NIL. A joke.

I don't want him fired this season, but this is unacceptable. Let's just hope this is Jans' Dennis gates season 2 at mizzou with a bounce back next season
How can you have one of the top returning starters in the country and have the appearance of a juco team?
Jan?s is a genius miracle worker playing Ali in overtime!
This why I don't care about basketball or baseball.
I can only lose my shit over one sport.

Disagree. Rebuilding year. For some reason we are the only teams that still has those.
Score says otherwise.
"Josh Hubbard missed five free throws (so far). I want Jans fired tomorrow. His coaching actively makes players shoot worse somehow."
Firing coaches is actually the favorite sport at MSU.
Oh no, we are told by people on here every day NIL is the 100% cause of winning. Coaching is not a factor at all.
We just didn't buy an NBA team to compensate for poor coaching because that is what we got to do at MSU.
It takes players (the right players) and good coaching to win - period. Until MSU figures that out, we'll be poor (wasting $ on wrong players) and disappointed by the product we put out.
The way we're playing is unacceptable, and I don't think we're a good team.
But to say "the experiment is over" is just stupid lol.
The guy made the tournament 3 years in a row. We can argue postseason success and all of that, but if Chris Jans makes the tournament 3 out of every 4 years, he'll go down as the best coach we've ever had. Step back from the ledge people.
We were down 13 points with 5 minutes to go against UNO in basketball. We were 20+ point favorites. We won on an OT buzzer beater that was a horrible offensive sequence resulting in a low quality shot that banked in.
Do not try to "well actually we won" that game. Those of us who watched know how god awful we played.
We went 15-29 from FT. Josh Hubbard went 5-12. Somehow in year 4 our guys are regressing at the FT line after Jan's has already shown that he doesn't fix a single guy at the line's shot. Someone also wanted the FBI to look into the point shaving. The O/U closed at 160.5. It was 81-78 (159 total) w/ .2 left and the refs decided to take the opportunity to expose Hubbard's point shaving even more. He bricked two more FTs.
Last night was embarassingly bad. The past week is a sign that State will be lucky to win a conference game. This is the worst looking team we've had since Rick Ray years. Might be worse - who knows where true rock bottom is.
These are not games you play close and just find a way to win. These are games you win by 20 and get guys some work. State right now needs a serious change of style and cohesion otherwise this will quickly become a lost year.
