Ahmad Hardy is a Mississippi guy as well.
This is an extremely winnable game,
I don?t know the line, but I would guess less than a 4 point underdog, and I?m taking us straight up.
I made my comment from being at the game and watching in person. Jones left once, favoring his leg, and Lanier also seemed to be banged up. I don't know how badly any of our starters are affected by injuries for the Missouri game, but Missouri can really run the ball, which bodes badly for our defense after watching Georgia shred us on the ground. At one point, I didn't recognize any of the numbers in the secondary but that is not unusual in this portal year-to-year roster. Of course, Manning was out in the second half for targeting and I understand by rule he can play at kickoff next week.
We have been bend and don't break all year which I hate but it's what we HAVE TO do against most of our opponents this year. Mizzou could and should be the exception. They've really struggled to throw the ball and their QB isn't the most mobile, and so there is really not much point in us spying him. If I were Hutzler I would channel my inner Joe Lee Dunn and cook up some exotic blitzes to go after him.
Yeah. Manning will be back. I think Jones and Lanier are going to be OK. Isaac Smith probably sits this one out. We should be fine at CB with Deago and Jayvin Williams though. Not worried too much about that if they decide to hold Kelly back or want to rest him more than usual during the game. Manning is good and I think Tony Mitchell is pretty good for a back up.
If I were in Hutzler's shoes I would go with a lot of 4-3 looks or 3-4 depending on who they think our best run stoppers are. I'd probably play Lockhart a lot more than usual this game and take one of our safeties out.
