When to expect?
It's already out there on social media, BUT TAKE IT WITH A GRAIN OF SALT. The amount of b******* and moaning I have already seen is just incredible.
I mean did people really think in this era where we get less info than ever that they were going to PUBLICLY RELEASE a 100% accurate depth chart??? Like come on.
It's in the Game Notes here: https://hailstate.com/sports/2025/6/...l-media-center
ETA: The TL,DNR is lots of positions still A -OR- B, especially DL.
Personally with the amount of new personnel, I like that we have lots of battles still finalizing.
I really don?t care about the depth chart. Only thing that matters is that everyone on the field 100% do their jobs and we win every game on the schedule plus 3 more.
I mean, I could just put together a depth chart and then put in whomever I wanted on Saturday.
I say don't put one out, ever. Don't talk about injuries.
I agree with the law, you have the right to remain silent. Why tip anything?
Scroll to the bottom past the depth chart, and I think you see a more accurate picture of who is starting.
So to clarify, we took a 4 star (consensus 3 star) WR from Starkville that we made a focal point of last year's recruiting class, redshirted him, moved him to defense and he is running 4th string safety? What the hell?
Have you been at practice much? If not, I am guessing you have no idea what was happening and just assume you know more than those that were actually there.
Stonka excited me and looked like a really good prospect but he won?t the first or last highly rated player that doesn?t break the two deep.
He preformed great on special teams as a true FR and has a lot of ability but this ain?t HS and if you can?t do certain things well, you will not play.
Stonka has no future at WR. And he didn’t when we recruited him. We were just one of the few teams that offered him the chance to try out WR, the rest wanted him at S. He finally got smart about halfway through the season and realized he was never going to play WR so we got him over to defense in spring, WHERE HE NEEDED TO BE ALL ALONG. He will see the field in some games this year but he is still learning to play S at the college level, but it is already better than his time at WR.
After the Captain said what he said dissing taking Stonka and just letting him waste away. That is clearly not true.
What actually happened is we got a really good special teams performer day one. We may have not gotten otherwise if we had not let him try out at WR at a position he apparently will never play. Now we have a 4 star prospect at safety learning the position for a year and still giving us good to really good special teams play.
Instead of: "What the HELL" It should be "Kudos to whomever made this happen!!!" Good Job.. Everything is not doom and gloom. He is just one player but if they can do it enough, State can win some ball games.
