former diamond dawg passed away. unsure of the reason
Wow!! 35 years old. Cancer.
Terrible.
awful
Oh damn that's a gut punch. Prayers for the family.
Dude was a warrior. Didn’t have the elite stuff but willed and gutted his way into being a solid SEC pitcher.
Hate to hear this
What really stands out in my memory is an interview after beating Ole Miss, I think in the Governor?s Cup. Reed had grown up an OM fan but they did not recruit him. He said something to this effect.
?I grew up loving them, now you learn to hate them.?
Knew he was a dawg all the way.
This breaks my heart. I loved how he throw three quarter and lower lower three quarter. I remember he started a game when we had zero pitching and just took his lumps for the team. Then he became a very good relief pitcher. Was a big part of turning the program around under Cohen. One of my favorite players at MSU.
He was only diagnosed a little over a month ago. Very aggressive Leukemia/Lymphoma. Hes the second person I've know that was gone in less than 2 months after this diagnosis. So very sad, gone to young. Praying for his family!
Apparently had a wife and 3 kids. So sad at only 35 years old. Will pray for the family.
Thank you guys. I've come to understand the grief will always be there; just not as frequently gut wrenching now. I tell folks that I'm learning to live with it. My heart just breaks for Caleb's family because I know how awful it is. Send 'em up y'all. They can use all the prayers we can muster.
Man, hate to hear this. My Dad passed last year and while the cancer didn't directly kill him the after effects did. It sucks. Caleb had one of the better hooks I remember in recent MSU baseball history. Only two that were better imo were Holder's and Lindgren's.
Horrible. There is a fund established for expenses.
