As I have posted about four times in other thread discussions, what do you expect when you hire a rookie head coach who then hires a friend who has never been a DC now two years in a row? I have been attending and watching for 61 years, this is worse than Shira, Croom, and even the stubbornness of JoMo. Something is wrong with those in power who are making are most recent HC hires and then allowing them to build a virtually incompetent staffs. I guess it is my fault. The Bulldog Club dues and 8-12 season tickets for over 55 years and also a current donor to BI. I guess my family just hasn't given enough for six decades and you keep asking for more, more, and more with the worst ROI I think I have ever seen with this so called SEC level "team".

Was ANYONE ever in other than Lebby?? Hiring Hutzler was a REACH to say the least and I don't have a clue why Lebby did it other than he was a personal friend. And that is never a good reason to hire anyone. I'm sure there were a number of quality G5 DCs that would have been happy to get our job.

Talent is an issue. No question. But a decent DC could probably figure out a way to get a stop or two a game more than we are now and that would actually make a huge difference.Quote:

This isn't the only time either. I saw several, a mean a lot, of times we were outnumbered yesterday on defense. No way in hell a competent D1 DC would keep getting outnumbered on freaking defense. I didn't like the hire when made, and it's actually worse than I thought. That dude needs to be gone asap. Surely, Lebby knows this guy doesn't have a clue. Doesn't he?
Hutzler is horrible. I had bad vibes from him when he refused to show up to campus for months after being hired - he was still coaching at Alabama. Just something didnt sit right with me and well... here we are.
Yeah. I get it off you're the DC but not some assistant that has just made a huge jump and hired as a DC. Shows he cared more about getting a ring than his new job. Yes he was here on some weekends, etc but come on. Biggest promotion in your life and you don't take it seriously. Well now it's coming back to haunt him. I mean....there were catch phrases when we were winnng games but not playing with the correct offense because it was boring and not "MSU", and we did not see a path to a national championship with it.
I do miss that tough culture and teams saying they had trouble preparing.
But, here we are.
I would love to hear what the Florida offensive coaches were saying their headsets at that moment.
Aren't they at least teaching see ball, run to ball, hit dude with ball ?
