If you search that guy's channel he's actually done a few of the App State games.
But what's really impressive is how they ground it out against A&M. App St. had the ball for almost 14 minutes in the second half on ONE possession. They physically dominated A&M's defense.
Will Rogers cant make a lot of the throws the App State QB was making
1 plus, he actually went under center for a QB sneak.
1 minus, QB fumbled it :).
Going to need some TEs and H backs even if we went the shortened slot split route. Too much of his offense relies on the h back like a pulling guard or sneaking into the flat or up the seam from the backfield.
I didn't notice any pulling guards. Seems like every run play is a zone blocking scheme. I have no idea if that's part of Marks/Price's skill set or our OLine.
ETA: I also love the leak plays he runs with his TE/H. Those always seem to be open and aren't used enough IMO
Can he bring that scat back with him???!
Let’s give Walker Howard a sweet NIL package.
Can we pull a couple of those TE's with him......
You'd think we might could pick off a couple of top guys to the SEC with the OC.
I have seen enough. Only had to watch 5:21 seconds of that video to like what I was seeing.
1st - He has the plays in place to isolate players.
2nd - It seems like that offense loved getting the ball to their best players, specifically Davis. Dude was lighting fast and made plays all over the field, hand offs, jet sweeps, down field throws, crossers, reverse. You name it, Davis got the ball. Tulu, Zavion, Walley and Rufus all have to be really excited about that.
3rd - We will be able to run it Better than App State and our running backs are about to get opportunities in the running game, with a TE lead blocking.
4th - Play action actually works in that offense. UNC was off balance when the entire OL slanted with the running back motion. QB bootlegs and had guys open every time. Usually slanting away from the TE side of the field. TE 6 yard out open for 8 yards almost every single time.
Can’t wait to see this get implemented.
You would think. I would take that Davis dude right now. Issue here is, a coach with ethics wouldn’t immediately call and recruit his players to his new team. Now, if they left at the same time, maybe. I could see the previous coach being pissed about it, and frowning upon it in future references. At least I would.
