I work with Gene's cousin and was saying Gene told him this morning he had heard there were at least some grumblings about postponing the game.

About BulldogBear
Biography:
New grandbaby lives in El Paso, so I knew I'd have to make something epic happen for 2024 season!

-First football game to attend: 1980 Mississippi State vs. Auburn at Mississippi Memorial Stadium with my mom and dad. I was 7 years old. We won 24-21. My mother worked at an antebellum home in Natchez named Auburn. I knew Auburn's colors were blue and orange and that they would be wearing all white. I naturally assumed a picture of the house would be on the side of their helmet!

-Last football game to attend: Egg Bowl. To be honest, it turned out exactly like my son and I discussed and expected it would. They would not blow us out like they thought and we would be in the game and have a realistic, if unlikely, chance to win, even late in the game. But that we wouldn't pull it off. Tickets had been stupid expensive a week earlier, but we scored 50yl seats with a great view after getting the Gator Chomp discount. That makes a total of 232 FBS games attended, 133 of them involving MSU.

-Next Up: The Salute to Veterans Bowl (Camellia Bowl) next Saturday. It will feature South Alabama, a school I haven't seen yet, and WMU. Mrs. BB is having rotator cuff surgery later this month which will make her annual birthday trip difficult, so I tried to find something we could do now. Endzone suite for the game was cheap. We'll do the game and then catch "Shadowlands," a play about C.S. Lewis and his wife Joy, on Sunday before we head back home.

THE QUEST: I have a lifetime goal to see all FBS schools play live at least once. The latest added to the list were Clemson and Virginia Tech on that trip East That brings the total to 95. I'm over 3/4 now but new schools keep moving up to FBS!.

The top 5 school appearances in my list of games attended as of today are:

1) Mississippi State - 133 games. Dawgs are 76-57
2) Ole Miss - 57 games but includes 24 Egg Bowl crossovers
