Quarantine Fail!!!! I didn't "get out" until Sunday 9/20. So, I missed 2 games I planned to go to. I never dreamed the first game I would make it to during the 2021 season would be UConn @ Vandy!

-First football game to attend: 1980 Mississippi State vs. Auburn at Mississippi Memorial Stadium with my mom and dad. I was 7 years old. We won 24-21. My mother worked at an antebellum home in Natchez named Auburn. I knew Auburn's colors were blue and orange and that they would be wearing all white. I naturally assumed a picture of the house would be on the side of their helmet!

-Last football game to attend: A three day, four game college football tour thru Starkville (Egg Bowl), Fayetteville (Battle Line), Jonesboro (Tx. St. @ Ark. St.), and Memphis (Tulane @ Memphis). That makes 121 MSU games and 197 FBS games I have attended.

-Next Up: Seems to be the Independence Bowl. One of my college football road trip buddies already bought tickets and a hotel because he wants to eat at Herby K's. So, I guess I'm in. Still waiting to see where the Dawgs end up and then I'll plan to hit two more bowls so I can get to 200 total games before the end of THIS season.

THE QUEST: I have a lifetime goal to see all FBS schools play live at least once. The latest added to the list was Texas State. That brings the total to 83. I'm over halfway now but I'm sure more schools will move up before I'm done.

The top 5 school appearances in my list of games attended as of today are:

1) Mississippi State - 121 games. Dawgs are 71-50
2) Ole Miss - 52 games but includes 22 Egg Bowl crossovers
3) Southern Mississippi - 15 games
4) Arkansas - 12 games (I never saw that coming 5 years ago)
5) Tulane - 11 games
