That's great, I love when Auburn and Alabama recruit nationally. It means more good players that live within MSU's recruiting base that we have a chance at.

I'd be all for LSU recruiting nationally as well.

Bama is definitely a national recruiting base, but Auburn has had their hands in Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida for a very long time now. The good quality depth in the state gets taken by the Ga Techs, Troy's, Southern Miss, MSU, OM, and Vandy's of the world. Most of the Top 12 in the state will stay in state on a regular basis. After that, you see a lot of good talent that Bama and Auburn don't go after because of how well they are able to recruit outside of the state.

I'm perfectly fine with that too because that leaves us with quality players that get overlooked. Benny Brown is a prime example. The state of Alabama puts out a ton of LBs every year and he got lost in the shuffle. Auburn came in late on him but we got on him early and wanted him the whole time and he's going to be a solid player for us.
