Tickets for the Orange Bowl are not in demand at all. Prices are very cheap. Georgia fans are probably tired of traveling (sometimes 3 postseason games each season for them - SEC championship plus 2 playoff games). FSU is pissed about being left out of the playoffs. Both teams have portal entries and opt-outs. It's a recipe for a game that nobody cares about attending. Very little demand for tickets.

Good, maybe this will open people’s eyes to what’s been created, and make some reasonable adjustments to somewhat fix things.

Hold a portion of NIL until after the season's end?

It's concerning if you are the NCAA because this game is easily the premier matchup outside of the 4-team playoff. You have 2 teams that could each make an extremely reasonable argument that they should be in the playoffs. This is a marquee matchup! You have sunny weather and two storied programs. Travel isn't long distance for either one. But opt-outs, transfer portal, etc. have turned this game into a dud that nobody wants to attend. It's indicative of a broken system.

NCAA is like Jerry Jones. They can put a mediocre product out there and still make millions on it.

There are a couple of other things too: FSU's starting QB is out due to injury, and neither team wants to be there because they think (possibly correctly) that they should be in the playoffs. Regardless of who wins, there won't really be any bragging rights.

Or even harsher, cancel their scholarships and send them a bill for tuition, room, and board. The scholarship should be for the entire season, including any bowl appearance. The "pre-Madonnas" get a little tiresome after a while.
