They are going to find out that the best game of his career was this year's EB. He's an average player that looked better when playing alongside Forbes.

Pegues had never made a play at Auburn and transferred to OM as a 91. LOL. He's on his 5th year and never had played like a 4 star.

Meanwhile, Van Buren commits to us and drops 50 spots from a 4 star to a 3 star overnight. It's all bogus outside of the top 10 classes. Classes 11-35 are largely interchangeable.

Yes indeed, that is why I just laugh when people on here get so wrapped around the axles about star counts. Most of the times some of the best pure football (athletes) players don?t go to those rating camps because they are playing other sports instead.

Loyalty is rare in this day and age yet I find it curious why our “fans”aren?t loyal to our players that actually stay. They just dog them. Then they wonder why kids transfer and get made at them for not being ?LOYAL.? NCAA is a free for all right now and if you are not taking advantage of it as a player then you are only hurting yourself.

He tallied 0 interceptions in 33 games. He was Esaias Furdge without an interception.

He sure did! He made opposing QB's look like heisman candidates. All of them.

I agree. Carver is also a 3 star now. Ole Miss takes a marginal SEC CB and he gets the necessary bump to help maintain the #1 portal ranking. Will Rogers is imminent lock to Washington and gets bumped to a 4 star transfer immediately. Meanwhile, we get two of the best OL guys available and a good qb transfer, and receive a "**** you" bump from the services. I don't know of a single other program that gets this treatment.

33 games without an interception. That is all that needs to be said. Hell, my boy Jet Johnson had infinitely more in one game this season, as a run stopper.

If yall are worried about recruiting rankings you will never be happy as a State supporter. Literally worried about percentages of numbers by guys who have never seen the kids play. Sure the top 5 is good but once you get past that it is just non sense. A way to take idiots money who want to give it away

3 star CB from a Texas High School
3 star CB from a Mississippi High School

These are NOT the same.

The first goes up against a lot of passing offenses.

The second: not so much.

There are still Mississippi a high Schools playing 5-3-3 defenses because they only need 2 corners and a safety since they have so few opponents with passing offenses. The Junior High programs don't throw it at all so few QBs are developed and the best athlete becomes the QB 80% of the time.

Does this mean 3 star DL and LB from MS are better?

It means they can hold their ground against their counterparts in other bigger states. Not better. But level.

But I would definitely say a 3 star CB from Texas compares favorably to a 4 star CB in Mississippi when we have the rare 4 star CB in Mississippi.

Idk why this is a repeated theme. Most big schools are not still running wing T.

Facing a Wing-T team now is like seeing a Wishbone team back in 2000. Rare and unusual

Kids today hate being under Center and rarely do it

Still a lot of wing T offenses out there. Watched a couple this past fall?.BUT there?s no where near as many as there was 15-20 years ago, maybe as few as 30-40% of what there was in the mid 2000s. There?s still a lot of schools in the south running it, and running it well.
