We're just not very good for very long stretches. It killed us against one of the worst teams in the nation 2 weeks ago, and now almost another horrible team. If we do this in SEC play, there will be a lot of 20+ point losses. These are the worst of the worst we're struggling with lately.

I believe after the back to back losses scoring under 60, the team convinced Jan's to turn them loose offensively, but it meant not playing his style of defense. The second half tonight they went back to a half court offense and when they missed shots they didn't miss in the first half, it allowed Murray to get into their offense quicker and they kept getting open shots.

Murray shot lights out. Jans was slow putting Starters back in. Ole Momentum had swung and we were lucky to get it back. I would have liked Shaq being in the game at the end.

I actually have a different take than most on this game.


We played really well on offense for 3/4's of the game. We moved the ball, took good shots, and even drove the rim. The other 1/4 of the game, we just got lackadaisical on the offensive end. At about the 12min mark we had a lineup of mostly subs. Jans is still feeling this team out and he is figuring out who can and can't be trusted. This type of game will really help us as we approach SEC time.

Those of you jumping off the edge need to relax. We have a legitimate 9 player rotation. Jans is giving Fort and Taylor every opportunity to be the 4th guard, but neither has really stepped up. Hopefully Taylor gets it together on Defense, because he is figuring out things offensively.


Defensively, we were hit in the mouth the second half. A lot of that was lack of effort once we got up big. Overall, Prohm ran a ton of offensive sets and you have to tip your cap to 24 & 2. They made some tough contested shots. They also made their open ones.


In the end, we won. A Win is A Win! Hopefully the guys learn not to take their foot off the gas and continue to execute. Next up, a scrappy north Texas team.

this was part of my point last week, there shouldn't be assigned seats to these nonconference games, and the upper deck should be roped off until it's needed to force the 2-3K fans to all be down low and at least generate some atmosphere.

Son and I attended last night's game with a friend. Almost, Southern 2.0. Jans needs to realize asap that he doesn't have 12 players able to beat a losing record OOC team. His rotations are also terrible. We had a 12 point lead in the first half and he subbed 5 players together who blew the lead. We were running and aggressive on offense and had scored 53 points at halftime and Shaq Moore had about 12 points. Second half, we build a 19 point lead out of the dressing room and he subs 4 players who blow this lead and goes to the Stansbury Stall. BTW, Moore plays very few minutes in the second half for two more points. If he doesn't ID his best 8-9 players and best rotations even with Tolu back, this will get very ugly in sec play. A repeat of this Sunday could also lead to an OOC loss which could kill our season.
