Murphy in the first sub group. That's interesting... he must be really good in practice

Look great so far. Jans has them focused

msstate7

Jans might not wanna sub 4 backups in at once... our D sucks with this lineup

Playing well, getting Bell touches, and everyone is playing under control, making shots.

Thick

We are undefeated right now if Jans would have made the guys play like this. Matthew’s in the paint with Bell is a recipe for success. Matthews should never take a shot outside of the paint….EVER!

I like the fact we're going inside a lot. That's what this team needs to do more of.

We are playing awesome. Getting whatever we want on offense.

That Southern loss may be the best thing for us moving forward.

Yep, he was one for fifteen on three's previous to this game. He along with a couple of others should have a yellow if not a red light on taking threes. Balance inside play with three game. Hail State!

Wow we just did the Jeckle and Hyde thing. Not sure which one is good but this MSU team can beat anyone.

Hubbard seems to small to be an nba 2. We might can hold on to him a while if we pony up

Team play that has been missing, especially against Southern.

Is this a tournament?

msstate7
12-09-2023, 12:15 PM
It's apparent that our offense should be tolu inside and Hubbard outside. Those 2 should get almost all our shots come sec play.

He is WAY too small to be a 2. Likely too small to play PG in the NBA. Dude is like 5?8?.

Then we need to get our money right. He's a Mississippi kid, so we got a legit shot at holding him

Guys, I am so sorry. I turned it on at 4:51 with us up 51-21. Since then it is a 9-0 run for Tulane. When is the last time a team overcame a 30 pt first half deficit after their opponents entire team fouled out?

R2Dawg
12-09-2023, 12:24 PM
Hubbard can flat out shoot it.

You can tell Jans has been tough on them since our losses! This Tulane team isn't that bad they got alot of guys from the portal from Bama, Georgetown, Rutgers, Nebraska, Michigan, Oregon State, St. Johns so they are pretty experienced.

I'm still pissed off at that Southern loss but I think Jans will have us back in the thick of things

62 pts in the first half…last 2 games we scored 59 total in each

62 in first half, never saw this coming. Our season ain't done yet.

Joebob

When Hubbard goes straight up with his shot he's money. Where he gets into trouble is when he's on the run and he drifts as he goes up. Hopefully he'll correct that as he gets older. Then he may never miss.

Hopefully that loss to Southern was a wake up call. They better learn there is no team they can just go through the motions with. Great first half

Yes, we need to pony up for him. He is the kind of guy who can single-handedly take you to the Sweet 16.

Sure looks like he did. Not sure how good Tulane is supposed to be, but our guys are playing with energy this time. They didn't seem to care all that much for the two games before.

Hubbard is quite a player.

They were picked to finish 3rd behind FAU (Final 4 team) and Memphis.

Amazing how much better team ball looks over playground, NBA wanna be ball. Balance inside and out (with right players shooting threes) and unselfish play with multiple assists will bring many wins and solve the attendance issues in the Hump. Hail State!

I left the channel on and now LSU is playing KState. Two former Bulldogs, Carter and Fountain, are playing well.

We are already paying him a pretty good amount. Now Tolu being out of eligibility will free up some more, but Hubbard is already being paid 6 figures. We would just bump him to mid-high 6 figures. And by the way, WORTH IT.

Not at all... they have alot of transfers from power 5 conferences on their team. Its a solid win

There is some good news on the horizon too with Tolu. I am not going to throw a date out, but expect sooner than what we were told, like possibly by Jan 1st. Obviously he's not in game shape, but he will have to be eased into action. Even having Tolu play 10 minutes a game, will force teams to prepare totally different. Having Bell step up has been exactly what this team needed. I would argue that Bell is a top 5 most important transfer.

I would argue Bell has been the most impactful transfer in the SEC so far. I mean this guy would start on every other SEC team outside of maybe Kentucky and Bama.
