View Full Version : My thoughts on Lebby so far...

He seems to be the young, energetic, guy we all wanted. And while the hires may seem a little underwhelming compared to the pie in the sky BS about Briles, Durkin, etc, he seems to be unapologetic and fired up about the staff he's putting together. He seems to have a plan and a mission, and that's something I can get behind. I think we all give these young hot shots a chance to build something fun and special, and try our best to shine optimistic light on everything happening at the moment. Doing the opposite helps nothing anyway at this point. Let's all pull the rope in the same direction, amplify the optimism and excitement around the program and Lebby, and if things don't go as planned in a few years time we can always start over again in 3-4 years if needed. But I really think Lebby will last a while, or get poached after success. Either way, there is zero reason not to get on board and be in full support at this point. He's ours for the foreseeable future, and he would have to really drop a load in his pants to be worse than the shit show we just got rid of. So let's get on board.

Excellent post!

Hiring Lebby was a breath of fresh air compared to the last staff.

It's going to be a rebuild but that's what we need and honestly I think we'll be back in a bowl next year.

I'm seeing an excitement in the last couple of weeks that hasn't been around since Mullen was first hired..... if anyone can't get behind this then they can't get along with any hire

Lebby knows exactly what he wants to do and if something doesn't work out, he's going to move fast to adjust. Next year will be tough, but we're going in the right direction. The last two head coaches set us back in a big way. We're finally correcting things. And we're upgrading the fan experience too. You better buy your season tickets because they're going to be in demand after next season.

And for the record, I kinda like the Shapen kid as I watch video and read about him. He seems to be exactly what we need, and I'm thinking it may be a great thing that many think less of him bc they were hoping for a Gabriel type splash. Now this kid can do his thing without the unrealistic expectations our fan base would have game 1 of Gabriel. I may be wrong, but I like the quiet confidence this coach us in what he's building. Let's go baby

Getting Shapen will free up more NIL to get a better surrounding cast.
