I don't know but it just seems odd. No "thanks for the opportunity" or anything.

To be fair, his "opportunity" was kind of thrown on him in a tough situation and he only coached like 10 games.

Not making excuses for him sucking because he sucked as a HC, but I don't think he really has an opportunity to be grateful for.

Based on his past interviews any statement he may issue would be very unimpressive if even coherent

I doubt many if any would say anything in a grateful manner if being fired during season 1. I'm not saying we shouldn't have as I supported the firing.

Not many people say "thanks for firing me". Plus, Arnett is kind of an asshole anyway. He's not the best PR guy I've ever seen.

exactly, I do not understand the "thought" that Arnett owes us some kind of thanks for firing him after less than a full year. He was put in a situation by very poor leadership in a bad situation where they panicked and it has spiraled into a real disaster that may take a decade to recover from.

He did a lot to earn the F. He didnt intend to, but he allowed it
