Who, if any, would you like to see retained from the current staff? On and off the field. I would like to see Turner and Knox stay if they fit what the new coach wants.

The new HC should make the call. Hopefully we don't keep any staff on or off the field that contributed to this disaster in evaluation, recruiting, and especially the lack of coaching. Hail State!

New HC can choose his own staff. If we try to dictate that anyone stay we are stupid.

Going to depend on the coach and who he brings. Bump and Turner are probably most likely. Hughes maybe. That's about it really. Analysts etc might have a few stay.

Gotta keep Bump if at all possible. Obviously that'll be up to the new coach. I'd like to keep Turner but wouldn't be too upset if we went in another direction.

Hughes should stay but in an off-the-field role

Hughes in an off field role, Jason Washington (he got us Jackie Matthews and Jalen Green), Taveze Calhoun, Gerri Green, and Tim Washington.

Haven?t been impressed with the WRs this year but willing to give Bump another chance. Was never big on the hire to begin with though.

Nor Turner.

Turner is a 4 man guy in a 3 man defense. Wer're recruiting more to a 4 man front. He's got little to work with. There's no pass rusher on this roster. Pick and Crumedy aren't stars, and need better talent around them to free them up. Turner is a developer. His recruiting is average. Let's face it, that defensive unit sucks. The talent is the worst I can remember.

Overall talent level, top to bottom, and elite is absolutely the worst we've had in a while

Actually I'd argue Mele did better than any of them. At least FG kicking wasn't bad this year.

Mele has done a really good job with special teams the last two years. Punting was a miss this year. All other aspects of special teams has been good.

Serious question - Why do folks always want to keep Turner and Knox? What do they bring to the table that makes them so important that they stay with the program through multiple coaches?

Recruiting? Connections?

Safety coach
CB keep McBath

I like Washington too.
Mele can stay on ST.

Honestly though it'll never happen but it'd be awesome if we could have Arnett back as D coordinator.
