It?s way too early but:

DJ Jeffries is third on the team in attempted 3 pointers but is only making 23%. He needs to quit shooting the 3 pointer or start making some. I know it?s early, but he didn?t shoot it well last year either.

Jimmy Bell is rebounding. He has 35 rebounds in three games (13 offensive and 22 defensive)

Nobody is doing terrible at the free throw line. DJ Jeffries is 2 for 5 but that?s not many attempts.

Fort and Hubbard are a combined 18-40 (45.0%) from behind the arc. Hubbard is first in attempts and Fort is second in attempts.

Excluding Fort and Hubbard, we are shooting 12 for 51 on 3 pointers. That’s 23.5%. Taylor, Matthews, and Jeffries are a combined 4 for 25 behind the arc (16.0%)

As a team we are 30 for 91 on 3 pointers (33.0%). We are 51 for 98 on 2 pointers (52.0%). So we are slightly more efficient on 2 pointers.

Taylor is only 1-8 on 3 pointers. But he?s rebounding well. He?s 5th on the team in rebounding despite limited minutes. He has more total rebounds than Fort or Shawn Jones despite playing fewer minutes. Fort has played 70:24. Jones has played 49:02. Taylor has only played 39:43

Cam Matthews is second on the team in assists. He also has the most turnovers.

Fort doesn?t seem to get rebounds, assists, or commit turnovers. But dammit he does shoot the ball.

There are 5 players with more turnovers than Hubbard. Considering he is a freshman and he?s playing a lot of minutes, that?s impressive.

Everyone has attempted a 3 pointer except Stansbury, Chol, and Bell.

Fort and Hubbard live behind the arc. Fort has attempted 19 shots from behind the arc and only 6 inside the arc. Hubbard has attempted 21 shots from behind the arc and only 10 inside the arc.

The analytics are not loving DJ. He's last on the team in box score plus/minus. He's also last in win share.

He is what he is. No change in sight. Thinks he is a point guard and loves to dribble and take the shot deep into the clock and usually miss the shot. Great on D and rebounds well. With him on the court thus far is like playing 4 on 5 when on O. Hope he finds his shot to change all this. There are only 40 minutes in regulation and lots of players on this team wanting them.

It?s a small sample size and by Christmas the numbers will be much more telling but right now Shak leads the team in PER and BPM. Bell second on the team in PER which is very encouraging. We have 9 guys above the PER Mendoza line of 15. Last year we had like 3 or 4. The numbers will normalize but right now we?re getting positive contributions from everyone.
