I am hearing some noise about a possible candidate in Kliff Kingsbury. The noise is that Kingsbury wants to be a head coach again whether it is NFL or college. It is nothing serious yet of course but just a name of interest.

He got fired from his own Alma mater because he and his Err Raid stunk. Not to mention he ran off Baker Mayfield

Yeah he is way to much of an LA face for Starkville.

Albeit it would land us some nice headlines.

I could get behind it. Bring the Air Raid back!

I would take him as an OC. Head coach? No.

Well - couldn't any longer make fun of the way Jaxson Dart spells his first name. Kliff? Maybe his parents were just going for alliteration.

NIL has completely transformed college football. To the point that coaches will either embrace it and figure out how to do it right, or they will not win. Coaches who have been mediocre in the past, but have embraced and have gotten innovative with nil will win. And what was once good coaches have fell behind because of unwillingness to be at the forefront of the nil movement. I think kingsbury could prob do well with nil. Just my 2 cents.

He/she is honestly annoying. Tired of hearing about the damn air raid that every defense figured how to cover.

All jokes aside it’s getting to a point where it is tarnishing Leach’s name. We are so burdened with air raid cult that it almost makes you mad we brought Leach in.

No one is every singing the high praises of the Run and shoot, veer, wishbone, triple option. We know they don’t work as a mainstays anymore but dang no one thinks poorly of it.

wonder who Keenum would have allowed Cohen to hire had Leach not reached out?

I mean remember that the self proclaimed smartest guy in the room had Joe Judge hired had the Panthers not saved our ass and hired Matt Rhule. That forced the Giants to make a god offer to Judge and got us off the hook. It is actually incredible how bad Cohen was at football hires and candidates had he not fallen ass over elbows right into Leach. I mean think about this: Moorhead, Pruitt, and Morris were the 3 candidates in 17 and it was Judge and Napier in 2020 before someone told him that Leach might be interested.

Hire Kingsbury, and we immediately have a top 5 offensive mind in the country. I’d say that Lincoln Riley and Kliff Kingsbury are the top two.

Really Clark?

Not a good head coaching mind though, 35-40 at Texas Tech where they specialize in AR. Fat lot of good that did them. Take away his first where he equaled the previous year under Tubbs and he was 27-35 (.435 win percentage) at TT. 4-8 his second season...woof.

Yeah he flat out stinks as a head coach. He didn't like to recruit and his defenses were awful.

His offenses were good, so that didn't have anything to do with it, but anyone who has Pat Mahomes and has a losing season sucks as a head coach. Period.

Kliff was on OU?s list when Selmon was there and they were looking for Lincoln?s replacement. To get that offense, it?s worth the chance. It?s also worth it just to watch the meltdown by the neanderball fans.

During his one good year at Arizona...fired the very next season. Again, a losing record in college and NFL. He wants to be an OC, fine. No as a HC, that he is not good at.

Lest we forget KK was the main one who was fully aware of Manziel's ongoing personal implosion but did nothing.

He might not be my first choice, but i wouldn't hate it at all. He'd raise our profile day 1 and the AR gives us a chance to compete.
