Both went 17-5
Both zero pac12 championships
Helton has a bowl win Riley doesn?t
Helton had a 4-5 record verse ranked team Riley is 2-5
Helton went 1-1 verse Utah Riley is 0-3
Both 1-1 verse Notre Dame

When Riley left I knew he did it to have a much easier path to the playoff than at Oklahoma. But dang i didn?t know it was this subpar, especially when you add in a Heisman winning QB.

That Air Raid with elite players not working out to well.

So what did Helton learn during his time at USC?

“You work so hard in the early years of setting your culture,” he said. “And if you don’t start the messaging all over again like it’s Day 1 with the same energy, the same focus, and (you) just assume everybody knows it, then you can lose a culture in a hurry, too.”

I want a coach that has proven at multiple schools they do more with less and continue to win at smaller programs. It?s the only way we can compete at all in this new landscape with portal, NIL etc
