They have been solid up until now - so they get a pass this game. Luckily, punters having a slightly off game (it's not like they were shanking 15 yarders) had zero impact on the game.

I get that rugby style punts allow more time for the coverage team to get down the field, but the likelihood of weak hits also increases.

I'd rather just boot the shit out of the ball with good hang time.

Really Clark?

Seems like we've been booting 30 yarders all year. We are near the bottom of the conference

We are averaging 40 yards a punt. Most of the conference is between 38 and 44. We get good coverage, have allowed next to nothing in returns, and have not been shanking them. Is it spectacular? No. But it's been a solid part of the special teams.
