So there is a relevancy to the point. Programs like Tulane, Coastal Carolina, Liberty, Memphis a few years ago, marginal programs finding ways to get to a NY 6 game.

But hey, State is 2 wins away from Birmingham Bowl eligibility! And I have a place to stay there!!!

First of all, I’m not giving scUM a 10-2 season. Not happening.

Secondly, for us, Arkansas, the confederates, and Kentucky to sniff a NY6 bowl, we have to NOT lose to any of those teams, and beat Auburn, Florida, and A&M. Then you gotta hope to get 1 of LSU and/or Bama which means by virtue of losing to us, they are “down”.

It just doesn’t happen very much. Now you bring in 2 more powers like Texas and OU which means you have to have that once in a decade special season to get there.

I was there when Dick Pace Pass int stole a win from the DOGS. I was there when Bellard conservative play calling brought it down to a tornado win blown field goal miss. I watched as a 14 championship team folded in Oxford, I watched as Dak’s final year never had a chance against om . I WATCHED JACKIE run a no name numerous times in the red zone while all SEC tailback didn’t get the ball in the snow in ox.
