If our defense was not just outright horrendous, or if I thought Arnett might be an actual HC and not be making dinner plans with Brad Peterson and Steve Campbell all day I would pick us to win. Going optimistic, I think Wright will play well Barbay has put a good plan together for him and it will take a lot of pressure of the oline. I think this defense has used the last two weeks to learn their positions better. It’s a slug fest into the 4th.

The analytics say this game will be close, around 28-24 Arkansas. Those analytics takes into account Will Rogers playing. Without him, I can see this being a bigger spread for Arkansas. I'm thinking something alone the lines of 35-17. Defense is bad again. Offense starts out too conservative and then has to throw to play catch up late. It will largely be ineffective at either.

Our D is slow. Hogs D is pretty decent. Our offense, who knows? If Wright cant keep the hogs honest by making a few throws and stacking the box, we are in trouble. Hurts that Woody is out too. Till I see some changes on defense( and at least a different blitz than our backers obviously coming through A and B gap), I just can’t pick us to win anything in the sec till I see better. I’m sure Jefferson will go off too like everyone else this year and it’s on the road. All that smells like pig s*** to me and a fat loss.

However you slice this cake i feel like it’s going to suck unless we blow the out of the water. We are both putrid teams correctly. We lose in any fashion it’s going to suck, we win close it’s like “yay we are just above bottom feeder” the only way to feel good is if we win handedly 10-15 points would make me feel somewhat like we are going places.

When you are dropping 7 against a 3 man route concept, and all three receivers are wide open, it's a coaching issue. Not a talent issue. These players don't have a clue what they are supposed to do.

When you are dropping 7 against a 3 man route concept, and all three receivers are wide open, it's a coaching issue. Not a talent issue. These players don't have a clue what they are supposed to do.

The deep drop was because it was 3rd and more than 10. Our lack speed at safety is why the LB's take such deep drops- to help them. In the pic you will notice the LB's drops are at 10 yards and still the safeties are giving the WR's a 6-7 yard cushion. That means they are worried about getting beat deep. The corner getting run by on Cover 4 there is also a lack of speed and talent.
