How did they go from paying Travis Hunter (and the Sanders kids) to what they have now. Seems Deion had it figured out from the start, how to move money. If the company truly cared about HBCU then the money would still be flowing. Deion got that deal. We need to take note and not forget about that. Look into how he did it. Yes he's a big name but there has to be more to it than that. Next hire, no matter the position, maybe that's how we can crack into that pipeline but something must be done. We're doing good but going to get left behind if our recruiting/performance on the field doesn't get better

The big money NIL deal is about how recognizable the player is. Not the school.

NIL helps but it's not everything.
High school players want to play in the NFL. Deion convinced them they could come to JSU and accomplish that. Just being Prime helped but it was still a hell of a job to do it.
We have stars all over the NFL and need to figure out how to better leverage that with recruits. It hurts for Dak to be the only offensive playmaker but we shouldn't be losing Mississippi high school DL to Ole Miss.

Dave Potrnoy helped last year.
