Good point, forgot the financial aspect. We used to play instate SWAC teams more and that helps them and keeps the $ in state. However, didn't we have to drop a game with MVSU recently because they had eligibility issues or something? Tickets to this game are only $25 and we are still having trouble drawing a crowd tomorrow. Saw where we have scheduled UNA in the near future. You're right it's a Catch 22. Look good tomorrow in a convincing win, get well over open date, and beat arky on road. Turn this thing around! Apathy indeed. Called a good State friend who is recovering from shoulder surgery to try to get a couple to three State fans to drive him down for free tickets and ride with my son and I to stadium. We live 2 hours northeast. He was working parking at our HS FB game. He asked about 4 State fans and his grad school daughter and found no takers for free tickets. Sad situation as a couple were hardcore State fans. I never thought I would see it this bad again. Guess we will go at 9:00 tomorrow and try to find a few State fans needing good tickets. He, my nephew, and I must have contacted 20 people in my hometown and Tupelo. No takers. Sad.

I decided to take my kid on a trip because the game was so shitty. I mean a ream with our track record I am not holding any weekend as sacred, at the moment. No it is not. When you put a good product on the field, our fans show up. We even show up for crappy products for a long time. We ain't had a great product since Mullen was here but fans still come hoping.

Well, we have a Sun Belt fan base with an over sized stadium. We have the largest number of International Students in The State who couldn?t give a rats patuty for American Football. We limited the number of Season Tickets this year in an 8 game schedule. Why? We limit the number of Student tickets. Why?

Maybe we should introduce all the old alumni and honored guests pre-game instead of at every 3:20 minute time out. Have mascot races, kick for scholarships, football jugglers, dog frisbee, funny videos, fan spotlights, Pole dancing on the Goal posts! We have a 3 minute 20 second time out. Pass the hat for NIL Donations. We are the Washington Generals of the SEC. Do some Globetrotters clowning.
We are the Minor League. Do Minor league things to entertain the crowd. Somebody start the dang WAVE! Wet T-shirt contests!

How I guesstimate attendance.... the west and east lower levels hold 33k alone. So if you moved the students to the north back to east lower. Then people above to the lower level, would that have filled the east lower? Probably. Same for west side.

I'd say we had north of 33k actual for SELa and Az. We had 45-49 for lsu and Bama.

Figured fall break would impact attendance

Classes this week Monday - Wednesday, Fall Break Thursday and Friday. Empty student section as it was yesterday is one of the first indicators of a terrible product on the field, as they have more things to do. BTW, sold my nephew's ( he had birthday party for his 5 year old daughter), four very low tickets in Section 4, 45 yard line to a scalper for the grand total of $20. He was unable to resale and they were empty with about 30K or so others at KO. Pitiful.
