28 points in first half. Playing La Tech, a team equal in talent basically.
I pull for Drew to do well there. Pull for any of our guys that leave to go do well.

Edit: 35 points in the first half.

Cumbie is a good coach. They just have a bad talent problem. La Tech got killed in conference realignment by not being able to get into the sun belt.

Was hoping he can pick it up at Tech. So far this year, doing decent.

WKU has been underwhelming compared to past years this season.

Drew is a rising star. He will be a head coach within 5 years.

I wonder how much of the transfer portal affected them in the past 2 years? I have not looked it up. Just remembered they had players transfer a year or two ago when they were really rolling.

The big key is that the Hilltoppers didn’t change their offensive identity.

You guys and the Air Raid circle jerk is comical. It's two shitty teams in a pillow fight.

I Liked the Western KY OC when he was MSU, so get over it. Usually tend to keep up with them as the climb the ranks.
And in case you don't realize, half of college football is running a version of it.

Really Clark?

Their QB is the same as last season. Top RB and WR returned

Jimmy Holiday plays for them also. Did not realize that.
Probably a good move going there from TN.

How does Western Kentucky have an enrollment of over 16,000
La Tech has 10,000

As far as modified Air Raid guys go Ben Arbuckle and Mack Leftwich are ahead of Hollinghead right now.

If we were to ever hire Tyson Helton I would hope that we hire Arbuckle as the OC Hollinghead.

Drew can learn and he will improve though. He still has a bright future but he just had really big shoes to fill there. They're still performing pretty well and have two critical games coming up in Liberty and Jacksonville State.

I would've liked the AR more if we had TEs and a mobile qb like WKU

I like Drew a lot, a whole lot and think he has a bright future. I also stated many many times he wasn't ready to be an OC in the SEC even though many keep pushing that he or another on the staff should have just been given the job. He wasn't ready. He will get there but still on the learning curve and wasn't ready for the SEC.

Now do WSU's post Leach and now.

2020/1 75th: 384.0
2021/2 81st: 378
2022/3 93rd: 360.

2023/4: 6th in the nation with 533 yards per game with 2 wins over 2 top 20 teams. All done with 3 star talent. Not a single 4 star on that team per 247 recruiting site.

Did their coach, who called every play from a napkin in his hand, pass away less than a month before their bowl game?

What does that have to do with Arnett lying about not changing it up much and going into a totally different system where we had NO TEs and move a true freshman OT to TE for the sake of running his system?

There were and are many modified AR coaches out there we could have hired. We could have hired the OC from WKU that is on the staff at WSU now.

The point is we were not and are not tooled for this offense. Why change it so drastically.

also, perhaps the H back for help in the SEC.

Like most modified AR systems do.

Get over it. It has been shown over and over and over. The AR here wasn’t good under Leach. Handing it off to a bum like Spurrier or Hollingshead wouldn’t have made a difference.

The fact is it doesn’t matter what offense we run. We are limited by our QB. Until that changes we have to take what we can get from weak armed throws and no escapability in the pocket

It has not been shown. Period. 9 wins! That's what has been shown. Yes those weak ass throws down field for 30 to 45 yards in air is horrible!

Fortunately, they play two halves in football, and scored 35 points for the total game. It is very possible that scoring 35 in first half, the college players let up in the 3rd quarter.

No, what does that have to do with my statement? I didn’t like Leach’s AR. I wanted a modified version and 60:40 pass to run.
