I want an offensive minded coach. But, to answer your question, duke couldn’t pay what we COULD. He’s making 2 mil right now

He will get snagged up at the end of this season. We won't be in the market until 2024. We will likely go 4-8 this year but he'll get another year.

Matt Ishbia and Dan Gilbert are about to back up the BRINKS truck for him to be the new Michigan St HC. Also we NEVER, and I cannot be clearer about this, EVER need to hire a defensive minded HC again.

No. He will be able to go to a school that is not a bottom feeder.

I doubt anyone would come, other than another experiment. Which would be a coordinator at a similar P5 school, or HC at a small program looking for a milestone move up the latter. I don't know why Arnett won't help himself, or if his hand is held back. Other than that, I don't know how much blame I can put on his name. He did what anyone in his position would do and said yes and took the keys. Anybody should know by now that the odds of success are really low around here.

Cool. He can go 4-8 again front of an empty stadium and further cement our place as a permanent bottom feeder of the SEC.

We'll get Napier then. Bert is never wrong.

Take it with whatever grain of salt you want, but from a friend... Duke's very rich alumni are all fired up about their football and are donating heavily to their NIL fund to make them relevant. They seem to feel the playing field is equal enough to where they can compete. So he'll prob get a big raise...

I think we could get him.

Why is it so hard for you people to see that the script has flipped? The entire system that was in place that we were able to barely keep up in is gone forever.

We are talking about football not baseball. Ole Miss seems to be doing alright in Football. They have an offensive minded coach and a mobile QB that can open receivers down the field. We dont. Not that much difference in rosters after that.

You, like the majority cant seem to understand things are not as they were in the past. That is the problem, a spectacular lack of vision is the MSU way.

Lol! You are talking to someone with handle "Leeshouldveflanked". Hell, he still can't get past the Civil War.

He's not coming here. He's going to get better offers. We've run our football program so poorly you better start looking at top assistants and small school HCs. We won't pull a sitting P5 coach unless we really run up the price and even then it'll be tough.

Really Clark?

Kinne at TX State might be a good option. Gamble for sure but we may have too. We also may have Arkansas looking this year too.
