It's pretty obvious that our D sucks this year. It didn't last year. What gives? Who did we lose that made that much of an impact?

I think Forbes is one of the best defensive players we have had in last 10-15 years.

He was a true shutdown corner.

Yes! That is very noticeable. And Wheat did give us some QB pressure last year.

We lost 7 starters last year. We got worse in 6 spots. Much worse in some.

Duncan. Replaced by Preston. Good.

Matthews.
Green.
Forbes. Playing in the nfl.
That's three starters in the secondary that we lost and have gotten worse in those spots.

Cam young. Playing in the nfl
Wheat.
Charleton.
That's three DL/Sam that we lost and we got worse in all three spots. Much worse at Sam.

It's way more talent than coaching. Give Brock those 6 starters and we are 3-1 on the way to 8-4/9-3.

I said this was going to be an issue in the summer and was laughed at.

FEI had us 14th nationally last year (3rd in sec behind Georgia and bama).

Why is our best CB not sticking on the other team's best WR? That would at least be one thing that we could do to keep from getting burned on deep shots over and over.

Drives me insane. We have 1 pretty good corner and we let their best receiver get matched up on the other one all night. That’s bad coaching. Period.
