We knew we were going to give up some yards and play a little conservative to protect the deep ones from their really good receiver corps. Obviously, we gave up some deep ones. We played a little more bend, but don?t break. But it didn?t quite work out.

Well, seeing as how AZ threw the ball deep with ease (see just before half). LSU pretty much connected on every deep ball they threw. Oh, and we gave up 70+ TD to open both halves v USC..... I would say protecting against the deep ball is a good idea.

Barbay is figuring it out but Brock is still lost as a DC. And Arnett allowing this to continue reflects on him as a head coach. Brock is his buddy so he doesn't want to hurt his friendship. This is why Buddy Ball rarely works.
