Arnett has been our DC for 3 seasons and now the HC. Leach was famously hands off on that side of the ball. Who made these awful defensive evaluations? Who failed to convince stud recruits he was the DC to play for? I have no idea what % of the blame should go to Arnett but it's definitely not the "previous staffs" fault

If Colorado can go fro ma 1-11 team last year to probably 7-5 this season, and if Zona can made a decent team with Portal guys, I don't see why we couldn't also add legit portal kids too. Yes Leach was the HC and it's his job to ensure the D is getting good players. He runs the program. I'm not absolving him of blame. I'm saying the guy who was referred too as the "HC of the defense" didn't do good at his job.

It's like a murder charge- 2 people can be charged with the same murder and both given 20 to life. One of the defendants doesn't get to say "yeah I also shot the victim, but like the murder was the other defendants idea in the first place so I should go free.".
