Never been a coach but been going to MSU games since age 8 in 1963 and seen a lot. I see a troublesome mix in our football progam:

Rookies:

AD - Another on the job training hire, (we do this a lot). Was Carl Maddox our last AD who had been an AD at another school (LSU)?

Head Coach ( chose to make this hire, but imagine coaching, has said staff was unprepared for last two games, and recruiting against the other West HC's). Looks in over his head, but early.
DC - Never held this position.
OC - Read his bio, at best OC at 3 smaller programs in 3 to 4 years?

Retreads:
OL - (Two coaches, who else does this?). One a journeyman who AU was glad to see go and other best gig at Syracuse.
DL - Journeyman including three different times at MSU

Meddlers?:

President Keenum ( He did play FB at NEMCC)
"Cigar Boys" - Not sure if I ever met one in 60 years even though my late SuperDawg Dad ran in some related circles over the years.

I'm concerned.

Safeties - Promoted from analyst position at MSU, never coached it.

Dewhurst coached DBs at SeLa, Texas St. and Texas Tech.

My bad. Didn't research deep enough. Safety play was brutal against LSU, along with all D. Who schemes putting a safety on Nabors, DB's giving such a cushion and such a deep drop for LB's? Are we trying to run a "Bend but Don't Break" and in an awful manner at that?

We have a bunch of C+ to B- athletes on defense.
We have good athletes at the skill positions on offense, but are not giving them a chance.

Probably shoudn't have ditched the air raid offense for this type offense. At least Will ran it pretty good and gave us a chance. I don't think we have the OL to run this type offense, but we do have some good skill position players.
