saw this question in another thread but think it deserves it's own thread...

I'm thinking there are 7 teams easy, and arguably 9, that could beat OSU on any given Saturday.

Only 4 would even have a chance:

Bama
SC
Mizzou
Auburn (maybe)

I have zero doubts that Georgia, A&M, and LSU could beat them.

ETA: a healthy Georgia.

I would add UM, MSU and A&m would have a shot.

It's fun to bash the Big10, but Bama is the only team that would dominate them. Auburn, USCe, and Mizzou would be incredible games and OSU would be favored against everyone else. Could UGA, aTm, or LSU win? Sure.... But it's by no means a guarantee.

So you think that every team in the SEC could beat OSU other than UK, Arky, UF, UT, and MSU? That is ridiculous

I don't think Bama is even a guarantee. I just think there are several teams in the sec that are good enough to beat them on any given day, which says a lot to me about their chances to be undefeated if they played in the SEC.

no... you missed Vandy. I think MSU could upset them. Unlikely, but possible.

I'll give you 14 points against Florida State right now. interested?

They were a two-point conversion away from losing to Michigan saturday. Gave up 600 yards to Michigan. Michigan. Michigan is not good.

I think Alabama, Auburn, LSU, aTm, Mizzou, South Carolina, and a healthy Georgia can all beat Ohio State.

Heck, I think Vandy and a couple of teams from Mississippi could make an interesting game of it.

But, there are definitely seven teams in the SEC that could beat tOSU on any given day.

I think there are several teams in the big 10 that are capable of beating Osu too. The fact that not one of them has in two years says a lot about the buckeyes. I think they're a lot better than people give them credit for.

they're a very good team, but they wouldn't be any better than UGA or S Car in the SEC IMO.

The funny thing is if Missouri had still been in the Big 12 there would be people on this board saying they are shitty, too.

Only one team has been within 14 of FSU all season. They are going to beat whoever they play. I am just saying people arent giving OSU enough credit.

Any team can lose a game to an inferior team on any given day (ie. Ok St- WVU, Stanford -Utah, Oregon- USC, LSU-UM, Wisconsin-PSU). OSU hasnt had a let down in 2 years, and that says a lot about a team no matter what conference they play in.

I still don't think they're that good.

they played OM and A&M from the West. Two middle of the pack western division teams and a really weak SEC East.

A&M and @UGA (the week before they lost to Vandy) are their only impressive wins. The only team they played that's worthy of mention in elite status is S. Car. Auburn will be the second team they've played this season that has 9 or more wins. I was actually surprised they handled A&M... which could be a good sign for them against auburn since those two teams have some similarities, but overall they really haven't had many chances to impress anyone with that schedule.

OSU is a great team. You don't win that many games in a row without being a great team... I just don't think they'd be headed to the NCG if they played in the SEC.

Well, some people still think they are. They basically waded through a weak SEC East, Ole Miss and a aTm team that didn't beat a ranked team all season. Their only impressive win is Georgia which was losing starters left and right at that point. Is that the resume of the typical SEC division champion? Many would say not.

Who can tell if they are any good with that schedule. Give any SEC team that schedule and they win a bunch of games.

I wish we could play those teams.

They may be a top team, but they haven't proven it.

Remember when BYU won the National Championship and never played a ranked team the whole year, not even in their bowl. You have to earn it.
