Road opponents are rough, but other than LSU the home opponents are very beatable.

We will be too good for it to cost him his job. 15-15 in the SEC and a run to the Supers. Our RPI will be super high

First nine SEC games are Omaha level opponents.

If he can win 4 or more of these games, then he has a shot at keeping his job with a good season.

Playing LSU early seems good. Before roles are settled. LSU has many All Americans to replace. In the last 3 Sec opening series LSU is 4-5. Last 5 series 9-6.

Oddly enough I was impressed we had a winning record for the season with a team ERA of 9. I know that's not sustainable or the standard for us but still.

I can see MSU with a 11-16 record heading to the Missouri series, with our lady fans trolling D1 Twitter about MSU hosting with the Missouri Sweep and one win at Hoover.

I really expect to see some fans say that 14-16 and being a 2-seed as a good season. Since RPI factors road game difficulty, MSU might have a decent RPI, even with a bad record

Didn't come close to feeling like a winning record. Unacceptable not making the Sec tourney.

1-Game above 500 in baseball is not a good baseball record. MSU usually gets 15 games versus SWAC and Club Schools like Holy Cross. Last year, only one legit OOC game, That was USM. Did beat Lipscomb and Samford, they made regionals

I bet no other SEC team has to play A&M, Florida, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Vandy on the road. All 5 will be ranked in the Top 10 when The Bucket Brigade arrives in Sir Lancelot Kennard?s Chariot!

In the first 9 games, minimum 3 wins needed to keep his job. Then if by the end of the Ole Miss series we're below 5 wins / we lose that series then he's fired. Otherwise he gets the rest of the year and we have to win a Regional to get another year.

Feel like that's the most realistic take on this.
