It's really not. He made Temple and Baylor much worse in his first years there, and while he did improve them, he just got them back to the level of his predecessors, and then his successors also had equal success. I don't think either school has any real love for his era there since there were other coaches in the last 15 years who accomplished as much without the 1-11/2-10 type years.
