Siary is dueling this summer. His numbers are 5-0 with a 1.29 ERA with 34K in 34.2 innings.
Is he a good pitcher and was Foxhalled this year at State?

Another possibility is that these players are playing worse competition than they saw in the SEC. Another is that they're on a hot streak but will come back down. Another is that they sucked while here and suddenly got it together after leaving. I don't know the answer for either player, and neither does anyone else unfortunately. Got to wait till next season.

Summer league baseball stats aren't totally worthless but they are pretty close to worthless.

Unless it?s the Cape. I take that into consideration.

Siary, Loo, Loftin were all true freshman. Few true freshmen start weekends in the SEC. There’s a reason for that

Most Fr get to campus and have all offseason + their first season + the next offseaon to get ready for their So years. But because fox sucked so bad, it's like our So are just now starting that process

People need to memorize this.

Few freshmen come in with the ability/command to live on the corners which is what they have to do in the SEC. They don?t have to for their entire baseball lives until they get to this level. They haven?t learned to sustain a high level of concentration pitch after pitch. They are more prone to lose their mechanics. Etc. Etc.

JT Ginn pre-injury, Landon Sims, and Will Bednar, all first rounders are exceptions. Although Bednar was up and down but he had weird little nagging injuries most of the time and never could get into a sustained groove until the CWS.

Right... but we don't have 1st rounders. And like you said, even Bednar wasn't Bednar till the very end kf his So season.

Again, our soon to be So have only been coached by Fox. That's not a complete waste if a year (weight room, learning what it's like to play in the SEC etc) BUT it's also not nearly as much development as a normal Fr season, is it?

100% true story. Most freshmen, if they see the field, are mid week relievers to begin with unless they are REALLY exceptional or you see a staff that is woefully inadequate.

True but I look for Loo and Loftin to be drafted higher than Cade was (6th round). Holcombe is a wild card due to being so raw

And the SEC is tougher than it was 6 years ago. With the portal, everyone wants to come to our league. Skenes, Sonny D., RJ Yeager, etc. are examples. Every SEC team is loaded. State and Ole Miss went a combined 15-45 in the SEC. We went a combined 37-10 in non-conference. The league is tougher than ever. The portal allows teams to cut the bad players, and replace them with studs.
