Sounds like the other schools are being haters.

Sounds like some schools do like the fact that the jungle has a new and bigger Apex recuiter.

No. It sounds like the NCAA is trying to consolidate a set of rules governing all of college athletics. Some state laws offer schools in different states a bigger advantage under NIL laws. It's not consistent, we aren't all playing under the same set of rules.

^^^

The sec could take 2 more teams and leave the ncaa, and the sec would be the best product out there

The NCAA could also tell TV networks that if they cut deals with the SEC outside the auspices of the NCAA they will lose rights to all other NCAA broadcasts. You think the SEC trumps the Big10, ACC, Big12, PAC12, and every other conference in every other sport out there? You think the other conferences wouldn't just LOVE to tell the SEC to get bent?

If the NCAA decides to punt A&M from the NCAA for violating pay for play rules, the SEC won't do a damn thing about it other than bitch.

If that's true why don't we just do whatever we want?

Maybe...

In reality, the ncaa won't do a damn thing. Lsu had a booster stealing from a children's hospital, and the ncaa did nothing. They'll do nothing to aTm either

They're going to have to set guidelines though. Bjork basically told them to go to Hell - if they let that stand then yeah it's over for college sports.

Which is ridiculous. You could clean this up in a year if they just would. Stop being scared of lawsuits

The class this article is about is 2022. Basically the only reason aTm finished ahead of bama is bc aTm had 4 more recruits; the avg per recruit was actually higher for bama. Georgia and Ohio st's classes were outstanding too. Did only the players at aTm get huge money? Hell no, ncaa singled out aTm unfairly imo.

Gee, this is a great idea, BUT the way this usually works is that the NCAA will get so mad at aTm that they will put us on probation. We could fly as straight as an arrow and be as clean as a pin and the NCAA would still find something ultra-picky to hammer us with. Hey, it's happened before. I believe the term for this is known as: "Selective Enforcement."

SELECTIVE ENFORCEMENT is why the NCAA has been defanged by the COURTS. Every time the NCAA is brought into the COURT system, their past precedes them like a criminals rap sheet.

Bjork may be the biggest crook of all ADs. He absolutely should have gotten hung with Freeze. There is a reason Jimbo wanted to team up with him. One day there will be some stuff come out and he will no longer be employable as an AD.

Well the ncaa singles Aggie out because Bjork went on record as saying they were going to follow state law, not ncaa rules. And the ncaa said no no, state law doesn't trump our rules. Which of course it doesn't. And Bjork is again saying that they are going to follow state law, so come get us. We will see how it plays out.

Even though I hate NIL bc of how it affects state, I hope bjork sticks to his guns. F the ncaa. They opened this box... deal with it

I'm the opposite. I wish the ncaa would enforce the rules as written. It would clean up all of this. The rules are in place, they just won't enforce it.

That quote along from Bjork in that article should result in the ncaa releasing a public statement that says it is launching a full investigation into Aggie and Bjork based on his comments in that article that Aggie will abide by state law and not abide by ncaa rules.
