View Full Version : If LSU hangs on here and beats Wake do they throw Skenes tomorrow?

That would essentially be on 5 days rest, which is equal to what he will pitch at the next level. I don't think they would start him but I could definitely see him coming in and giving them a few innings depending on the situation. Bednar threw the "if necessary" game on 6 days rest and game three against Vandy on 4 days rest.

Bednar threw the championship game on 3 days rest. He pitched vs Texas on June 26 and Candy on June 30th

Don't have a choice. Have to. Can't win the CWS if you don't get to the final and throwing Skenes on that type of rest is a no brainer.

Will be a good trial run for what the Pirates ask him to do as the first overall pick.

No question. It will be Lowder vs Skenes. It will be an awesome game. I have to take LSU tho. Wake Forrest has looked terrible against LSU so far and they won’t touch Skenes. Florida on the other hand I believe will destroy them in the finals and Skenes won’t see the mound again after tom…
