Parker's numbers by year:

South Carolina (2023): ERA-4.21, WHIP- 1.32, K/BB ratio- 2.97

South Carolina (2022): ERA- 5.41, WHIP- 1.53, K/BB ratio- 2.04

Indiana (2021): ERA- 3.17, WHIP- 1.21, K/BB ratio- 2.57

Indiana (2020): ERA- 3.56, WHIP- 1.36, K/BB ratio- 2.39

Indiana (2019): ERA- 3.81, WHIP- 1.27, K/BB ratio- 2.85

UCF (2018): ERA- 3.32, WHIP- 1.21, K/BB ratio- 2.62

UCF (2017): ERA- 3.09, WHIP- 1.22, K/BB ratio- 2.74

He was also at Wright State for 6 years, but I ain't going back that far.

For comparison, Mississippi State pitching numbers the last two years under Foxhall:

2023: ERA- 7.03, WHIP- 1.77, K/BB ratio- 1.68
2022: ERA- 6.07, WHIP- 1.54, K/BB ratio- 2.25

So basically 2022, his first year in the SEC, was his worst year, and he was pretty close to Foxhall's worst full season, but probably a hair better. ERA was .66 lower; WHIP was basically identical; K/BB ration was worse (2.04 to 2.25).

Numbers never lie.

Make this guy welcome in StarkVegas. Our kids are gonna benefit from his instruction.

Keep in mind that only one SEC team had an ERA under 4 this year, and Arkansas and Auburn both hosted Regionals with ERA’s over 5 (heck, Arkansas was SEC co-champion).

We don’t need him to turn us into the early 2000’s Oakland A’s, just bring us back close to the middle of the pack in the SEC next year and we are probably in the hosting conversation.

Looking at the Analytics Department at WF. I am going to write an email to Lemonis and the Operations Research ahead at MSU (yes, I am self aware that I am eccentrically obsessed by MSU baseball and most of you are not any less insane than me).

MSU has better computing and analysis firepower than Wake Forest or any Liberal Arts school. MSU helped design the impellers for America's stellar Virginia and Ohio Class Subs. Probably even the newest Columbia class.

We have better and more geeks for computation and analysis than WF ever dreamed of. Object function- strikes and outs.

MSU has a mechanical, bio mechanical, Operations Research, and computer engineering department with probably 50 kids ready to work. For a $100k per year, MSU could have 4 or 5 doctoral super geeks crunching baseball numbers and biomechanics. Upon graduation, straight to GE, Siemens, or Raytheon with awesome experience in applied analytics. "How good where you in analytics"..."well sir, they gave a National Championship ring too, like a player."

Good chance some of those geeks are MSU baseball fans too.
