The storms have almost moved out of northeast and east Mississippi but are really pounding west central Alabama now.

An hour or so ago I looked at the radar and was really surprised to see all the storms. I wasn't expecting to see anything. It's been clear, hot, and humid here all day long. Official high was 91 but the airport is a known heat island for the past several years - lots of concrete, asphalt, and buildings. Just mid to upper 80s at my home weather station. No chance of rain.
