Somewhat disagree... no Bama, no LSU, no Auburn on schedule for 1st time in forever. Love the home game slate and excited to see road schedule unfold.

Our home game slate is very manageable.

How did LSU get an easier slate than us

TheLostDawg

At Austin, at Knoxville, at Athens, at Oxford in rivalry game. No Kentucky or vandy
Missouri is the only "easy " game on our schedule

We can easily go 4-0 with the home schedule

None of those teams were above 6-6 in 2022 ( that doesn?t matter but oh well)

Tennessee doesn?t have a defense

Texas doesn?t scare me

Yes we will lose to UGA

I will take it any day to get Alabama , lsu , and auburn off the schedule

In 2025, we'll probably play the 7 teams we don't get in 2024, plus Ole Miss, unless they move to a 9-game schedule by then.

That means that any time someone gets an "easy schedule," it will balance out the next year, and vice versa. Unless you just really unlucky with teams becoming suddenly bad or good.

The away schedule is tough. Rogers will be gone more than likely and will be replacing alot.

I was about to write:

First time starting QB
New RBs
New WRs
New DL
New LBs

Quaoarsking

I bet Rogers decides to come back unless he gets beat out for the starting job. (Or unless he's so good in 2023 that he leaves for the NFL Draft.)

CaptainObvious

We should get

Vandy
UK
Missouri
ole miss
SC
Arkansas
Tenn
A&M

Tough but not hopeless. UT/Tejas/OM have potential to be toss up games. I'll take it vs. OM/Bama/LSU

2025 if we keep 8 games will be

KY
Vandy
USCe

I hate to see Auburn go. Very competitive series. Pre 1990s Auburn dominance of series series is loooooong gone. I love to hate them.

Why the hell is everyone scared of Auburn. We're 6-5 against them the last 11 years. That would be a very winnable game for us.

Because they don't have to play themselves???

We'll keep beating them in 2025, 2027, 2029, and beyond.

Boy do I disagree. Swapping road games at Bama, LSU, and Kentucky for Georgia, Tennessee, and Texas is a win, not to mention we have a legit chance to win all 4 home games. Ole Miss has a tougher schedule than us.

I'm guessing he won't be back. We lose a ton. If he is playing college football in 2024 I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up in the portal and tries to go to some blueblood.

I'd be pretty surprised if he abandoned us for a blue blood. If could see a scenario that if he wasn't going to be the starter in 2024 that he transfers to Western Kentucky or Tulsa to try to chase down Case Keenum's career records.

It's the SEC, it's always going to be a tough schedule. As far as SEC schedules go, it could be much worse.

Yep.

Everybody needs to put on their big girl panties b/c this is the way it's gonna be from here on out.

I don?t think Rogers will be back in 2024 but I don?t see him going into the portal. I think he would try his luck to make a NFL roster.

Overall they may have a tougher schedule but they get Oklahoma at home but we have to go to Texas .

After looking at all schedules.

LSU somehow has the easiest schedule and Florida has the hardest schedule in history in 2024

They have all those sec opponents plus Miami, Florida state, and UCF in the non conference.

Yep, possibly becoming the all time leader in passing yards in the SEC will mean more than trying to play in the XFL.

Not sure why people are worried about this schedule. Any schedule we get would be tough, as we're in the SEC and the SEC just added two more blue bloods.

All of the home games are very winnable, the only auto L is GA - but I would rather play them than Bama because it's just psychological with Bama, so I'm happy to take a break from them. We also don't have to play LSU, so I will take this schedule with a big smile on my face. Lose to GA, win the rest, win a tiebreaker against Bama and suddenly we're the west champs and in the SEC Championship game.

If I was AD my schedule would?ve been
A&M at home
Arkansas at home
Tennessee at home
Auburn at home

Ole miss in oxford
Texas in Austin
Kentucky in Lexington
Mizzou in Columbia

For our real 2024 schedule I would rank

In order from hardest to easiest
1. At UGA
2. At Tennessee
3. At Texas
4. At ole miss
5. Texas A&M at home
6. Home vs florida
7. Home vs Arkansas
8. Home Vs mizzou

This all day. Sark is not an elite coach by any stretch. He's Jimbo level at best. Tennessee caught lightning in a bottle with Hooker Hendon and they do not have an elite defense at all.

Not very winnable, but a more even chance.

PikeDawg15

I would be in favor of a nfl model where you schedule is based off your record last season, excluding your permanent rivals .

So if our permanent rivals were
Ole miss
Kentucky
Texas A&M

We would have those 3 every season then if our record was 6-6 the previous year we would get

Auburn
South Carolina
Vandy
Mizzou
Arkansas

You wouldn't get to pick what you want any more than our AD got to: it doesn't work like that.

It’s too far out to determine how well these teams will play be other than UGA. We avoid 2 of the 3 teams that traditionally we hardly ever beat which is Bama LSU and UGA. Those are the only 3 teams that generally just beat us big. Oklahoma might eventually be added to that category, but we are generally competitive with the rest of the conference as long as we have a coach that is on par with Mullen or Leach. Hopefully Arnett will at least meet that standard

I like the new schedule with places we have not been to in a very long time.

The bigger issue is that THIS is our year to make something happen. 2024 is a rebuilding year for sure.

Let's see what Josh does with the next QB. Hendon got them out of some tight spots with his athleticism.
