He is going to have to be a vocal leader for us next year. We need an alpha with some F you in them. We may not have to have a team full of Drew Gilbert type players but we need 3 or 4.

I'm a fan of him, glad he spoke up, that is what leaders do!

Can he pitch?

Good. Now he can help us bring Braden Montgomery home. The longer Stanford plays I'm afraid the less likely that could happen.

Just asking, what does Stanford playing a long time have to do w it? He could play u til sept 1st and if he wanted to come here we'd take him. Might not get him but we'd take him and figure it out w money, scholarship etc.

I'm guessing if Stanford were to make it to the CWS and possibly make a deep run it would be harder to leave. Especially considering how bad we could be next year w/o any pitching. Think TJ McCants last year.

I would say we dodged a bullet on McCants. He would not have been any better than any of our outfielders. Braden Montgomery would be a MASSIVE upgrade at any outfield spot. Jordan, Montgomery, and Chance/Transfer would be a hell of an outfield for us.

Oh, no doubt on the talent but I was just giving an example. From all accounts McCants was leaving until they made their Omaha run. Apparently that factored into him leaving.
Now this year they suck and he's ready to bail.

Why would he leave Stanford?

He tried to leave last year but missed the portal deadline allegedly

Be very hard to leave now I would think. But maybe he has a Msu girlfriend.

But maybe he has a Msu girlfriend.

If not we need to find him one. And one that is a complete smoke show. With the sweetest disposition possible in a female. You know, pull out all the stops.

"Hugh Freeze approves your message"**

I hope he comes to Msu, not sure how or where the rumor got started. All I know watching him play is fun.

There was no excuse for Lemonis continuing to play Hines as DH instead of FB when it was obvious that the season was over.

His decision making has been exposed this season. There are many questionable decisions this past season.
