I don't know who C34 is in real life but I can say if the man has 1/10th the love for his family and people around him that he does for State, then he's made one beck of an impact on the world around him. Hope to see him here soon

This morning the news is not good. The clot busters didn?t work. ISeenIt is up there now, and is going to speak to the attendings. That?s all I got as of right now. Thoughts & prayers fellows!

Update?
No DNR at this point bc there are still a few avenues to pursue. Still very grim however. He is still sedated, on a vent and heavily medicated. Still unresponsive but that is to be expected. Actually the sedation is helpful to keep things calmed down. His system wants to rage but it needs to rest and take a break.

Tpa clot buster seems like it may have worked actually as he is much more stable and BP has improved. Some of the BP meds have been backed down which is a good sign.

Putting him in a state of hypothermia for organs to rest. Kind of like shutting the factory down then try to start warming him back up which is restarting the systems. See where we are at that point. Restarting everything is when the dangers come in. That should be tomorrow.

Today is a holding pattern which is positive in the respect we don?t expect any positive signs of improvement but we don?t expect any negative either.

Talked to nephrologist (kidney dr). He said things are not optimistic bc of organ failure. Also the amount of codes and lack of oxygen to brain. His pupils are only slightly responsive and neurological function is poor at best.

Starting the hemodialysis at noon to hopefully get his body not so acidic which causes the codes.

The hemodialysis is not a silver bullet. It?s something just to stave off another crash. Trying to get him stable enough to be able to get a ct scan of brain to see what neurological damage has been done from all the codes yesterday. It?s grim and i am not optimistic of positive neurology after speaking with the drs today. Not saying he couldn?t be ok neurologically but medically things all point to it not being good. While his BP and oxygen levels are improved his system is being run by meds and machines.

Coach isn’t married. He does have children. Like all parents, he’s very protective of his children so I don’t want to share too much because I don’t know how much he has shared about them on here, but he’s been able to have some really cool experiences with them over the last month or so. Prayers for them too.

There are a lot of potential causes. They're basically blood clots that get stuck in an artery in your lung- typically there are a lot of them at one time.

Sometimes it's hereditary, medicines can cause it, recent surgery, heart disease, etc.

No significant changes at this time. He will slowly be warmed up from the hypothermia treatment that was done to rest his organs. From there we will see how his organs are responding. Situation is still very grim, but he is still here so that’s positive.
