Mershon could very well be the MVP of the weekend. I wonder how many more wins we would have had he been given a chance earlier. He brings the energy man. LSU announcers thought he was unstoppable.

He and Larry fooled the baserunner to close out the game.

That was high level decoy right there. The kids are still putting out the effort!

And it shows they are being coached ... or when they do it right they did it alone***

The thought entered my mind that he thinks he's Jake Mangum and that LSU is Ole Miss.

Fun to watch him play. Wish we had a few more like him.

I was a bit surprised to see that Mershon's fld% is lower than Forsythe's now. He brings a lot more to the table, though.

.327 in SEC play
.492 OB% in SEC
Switch hitter
0 GDP

Plus, he has all those intangibles. He could be the next veteran leader we need.

Well, he is really a 2nd baseman and that's where he will be next year. I'm hoping the SS we signed in this class makes it to college and lives up to the hype.

He's fallen to 103 thank goodness. Gives us a better chance

In other news, class of 2028 (13u) kid I know hit 90 on the bump yesterday- pitching 4innngs of 1 hit shutout baseball

He?ll never see a campus unless he really wants to play for Corbin - his dad played for Corbin at Clemson - or play football

I'd like to see the 13-year kid who got a hit from a 90mph fastball**

A few of those errors were made at 3rd base

Larry will be drafted and sign. He loses leverage if he stays

He hasn't reached his ceiling

He hasn't reached his ceiling

that doesnt matter. He would lose thousands to stay. Larry is gone

Really Clark?

He hasn't reached his ceiling

The signing dollar leverage amount is going to be higher for a college player with eligibility left vs a player with no eligibility. A lot higher in most cases.

A lot of scouts like Larry. Not sure if he makes it or not as he is a bit raw and he's probably a second base only guy but he also could develop and blow up in the pros.
